Aggrey Memorial Secondary School, (AMESCO) was founded on 7th September, 2009 by Mr Desmond Dawud Aggrey. The school is located at Oriofe, via Adeun, Ayetoro Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The school is the offshoot of West African Preparatory School, Mile 2, Ayetoro Road, Abeokuta. The dream for the establishment of Aggrey Memorial Secondary School came about when the school observed that the pupils the school toiled to build with strong academic standard were neglected in their respective secondary schools due to that fact that there was no continuity in those secondary schools.

The Proprietor was therefore prompted into the establishment of Aggrey Memorial Secondary School. And such intrinsic motivation was based on the following:

1. To complement government effort in the provision of functional secondary education.

2. To have continuity for the school policy that grants scholarship to pupils who lose their parents in the course of their education up to secondary level.

3. To make secondary education affordable to parents.

4. To instil morals, patriotism and the fear of God into our youth.

5. To cultivate students to be self- reliant.

6. To prepare students to overcome future academic and leadership challenges.

7. And to contribute my modest quota towards the upbringing of the youth of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
